Back in 1984, two entrepreneurial insurance brokers, John Word and Rusty Brown, joined forces to create a little agency they called The Word & Brown General Agency.

Word lll, Co-Founder You see, John was an innovator, light years ahead of technology and in a desperate pursuit to streamline his services to help the broker community better service their clients. As a veteran broker himself, John knew the ins and outs of the health insurance industry as well as the pit falls and the red tape that went along with trying to get the best prices, fastest quotes and most comprehensive insurance plans for his clients. Rusty, on the other hand, was a true relationship builder. Of course he cared about the technology but he was primarily focused on the end user, the customer.
